Jewish Quarter

The Josefov, the Jewish Quarter of Prague, is one of the most significative district of the city. The Jewish quarter is the walled-off area where Jewish people used to live for 500 years. During the empire of Joseph II, after he made changes in the rules regarding Jewish people, there have been people who deserted the district. Anežský Klášter and Staronová Synagoga are the most important landmarks of the Jewish Quarter.
