  • Advantages? As mentioned in the above, this is one of the cheapest options you can find to get from Fortaleza Airport to Jericoacoara.
  • Disadvantages? There are only 4 buses a day so this means your time of arrival may not coincide in time to catch the bus, unfortunately, you may have to spend a few hours waiting. Moreover, you will need to change vehicle in Jijoca and get on an off road vehicle, wasting some more time. If your flight is delayed, you might miss the bus. Therefore, we do not suggest this option if you are arriving at late afternoon cause the last bus leaves at 17.30 from the airport, so if you miss it, you might need to spend a night in Fortaleza before having the possibility to arrange a transport to Jeri.
  • Duration: 6 hours approximately.

Transfer from Fortaleza Airport to Jericoacoara by shared shuttle 

  • How much does it cost? Shared shuttle from Fortaleza Airport to Jericoacoara, the cost is approximately R$190 ($50).

  • Where is the pick-up? The pick-up would be at the SETUR Airport Information Store from a Gray Line representative. After this, they take you directly to the hotel where you’ll be staying.

Transfer from Fortaleza Airport to Jericoacoara by Private Transfer 4×4

The private transfers are operated with 4×4 all terrain vehicles (usually Toyota Hilux) which can go on the normal road by can also cross the dunes. Therefore, traveling with these vehicles will guarantee you the fastest way to go from Fortaleza Airport to Jericoacoara.

  • Disadvantages? It is more expensive than the other options. However, since it is a private car, you can use it for up to 4 people (or up to 6 people in certain cases). Therefore, if you are a couple or a group of friends, it can end up almost as cheap as the public bus.

Transfer from Fortaleza Airport to Jericoacoara by plane

This is an innovative way that was not available years ago. Since the new airport of Jericoacoara (near Cruz) has opened, you can also fly from Fortaleza to Jericoacoara.
