After a three-month closure due to the coronavirus pandemic, we are happy to announce that the Alhambra of Granada will reopen for all visitors on the 17th of June 2020. Safety measures are in place to guarantee a safe visit. Wearing a mask is mandatory and disinfectant gel is distributed to visitors at the entrance gate. Visitors must follow social distancing guidelines after entering the premises.

Updated information about Alhambra of Granada tickets after COVID-19 closure

As a result of the provisions against the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, online booking is strongly recommended. Please note that only limited numbers of people will be allowed in (50% capacity) until further notice. Make sure to book early to avoid disappointment.

The price of the tickets for visiting the Alhambra entirely depends on what you want to see. There are 6 different entrance tickets to the Alhambra.

1 – Alhambra General tickets price

The ticket includes Alcazaba, Nasrid Palaces, Generalife.

  • Adults: 14.85 €
  • Citizens of the European Union with Youth Card, retired people and European Union citizens over 65 years old (you will need to provide supporting documents): 9.54 €
  • Children from 12 to 15 years old (accompanied by their parents): 8.48 €
  • People with disabilities: 8.48 €
  • Under 12 years old: free

2 – Alhambra Generalife and Alcazaba tickets price

The visit includes the Promenade of the Cypress Trees, Secano (“Dryland”), Gardens of the Monastery of San Francisco, Alcazaba, Partal, Palace of the Generalife. It does not include the Nasrid Palaces.

3 – Alhambra night visit to Nasrid Palaces tickets price

The visit includes Atrium of the Alhambra, Plaza de la Alhambra, Nasrid Palaces, the Mexuar Palace of Comares, Palace of the Lions. It does not include the Alcazaba or the Generalife.

4 – Alhambra night visit to Generalife tickets price

The visit includes the Gardens of the Generalife and the Palace of the Generalife. It does not include the Nasrid Palaces and the Alcazaba.

5 – Combined visit Alhambra and Rodriguez-Acosta Foundation tickets price

The visit includes the Alhambra, Alcazaba, Nasrid Palaces Generalife, Carmen of the Rodríguez-Acosta Foundation (Callejón Niño del Rollo, 8). This ticket is basically the general ticket plus a visit to the foundation.

6 – Alhambra Experiences tickets price

The visit includes Nasrid Palacies, the Mexuar Palace of Comares, Palace of the Lions, the Alcazaba, Gardens of Generalife, Cypress Promenade, Secano(dryland), San Francisco Gardens, Partal, Palace of Generalife.

This visit takes place in two days. On the first day, you will visit by night the Nasrid Palaces, and the next day day, you can visit the rest of the monumental complex: Alcazaba, Partal, other Palaces and Generalife gardens.

Should I book my ticket in advance?

Absolutely yes! Buying tickets to visit the Alhambra Palace can be a complicated affair. Tickets sell out fast, and you don’t want to be disappointed. We strongly recommend you to book your tickets in advance. The Alhambra is most of the time fully booked as there is restricted number of visitors per day allowed to enter the Alhambra. Advance booking is anybody’s safest bet.

How to book Alhambra last minute tickets if it is sold out on the official website?

You may have noticed, but Alhambra tickets are very often sold out on the official website. Don’t panic, there is always a way to get Alhambra last minute tickets even if it is already sold out.

1- Buy the Alhambra Card. If you book the Granada Card, and intend to visit the Alhambra palace, you can decide the time slot in which you have a guaranteed entrance ticket.

The entrance to the Alhambra is guaranteed even if the tickets are sold out in the official website. This is a good option to get a last minute entrance ticket. During the booking process you can decide the date and the time interval. The price of the Alhambra Card is usually around 49€.

2- Book a guided tour (starting from 28€), in which there is always an entrance ticket included even if the tickets are sold out in the official website.
